i pause at a year of blogging to consider just what it is i’ve been writing about. so, to celebrate, here’s a look at some simple post statistics.
over the last year i’ve written equally on the topics of medicine, art, writing, metadata, and library (around 22 posts each). monkeys/bananas, titter, and publishers were written about slightly less, but i think these three topics put together would make an entertaining category on its own (an average of 13 posts on each topic). all the other categories have gotten fewer than 10 posts each: management, organization tips, drugs, food, wiki, the grammar doctor checks in, video. i was surprised to see that i had only schooled you 4 times this year on grammar. i will do better in this upcoming year to inform you of my grammar peeves, and suggest how to change your ways.
if you want to consistently learn something new about science but have fewer than 2 minutes a day to devote, check out the loh down on science. my local public radio station plays an installment in the morning on my way to work, so two minutes out of my one hour commute is quite enjoyable. you can read the script at the web site, but it’s sandra loh’s voice that really gets my attention. she obviously loves reading the scripts and puts a lot of enthusiasm into it. she sounds like the kind of person that would be fun at a party.
